Call Control | User guides for voice calling over broadband

This article explains how to manage Call Control on VoIP for ADSL/VDSL,Fibre or HFC connections.

Call Control helps you manage chargeable calls (calls made outside your calling area, 0900 services and mobile phone calls) made from your phone.

Before you begin

There is a monthly fee for Call Control .

When Toll Call Control is on, no chargeable calls can be made from your phone.

To add Toll Call Control, please call us on 0508 888 800.

Toll Call Control does not prevent incoming collect or transfer charge calls.

You will still be able to make calls to 111 emergency services.

When you have Toll Call Control on, you'll be prompted to enter your PIN before you make a call.

Steps

Turn on call control

  1. Lift the handset and wait for the dial tone 
  2. Dial *37, followed by the four-digit PIN, followed by #
  3. Wait for the confirmation tone (long-short-long) 
  4. Hang up


    When you have Call Control on, once you have dialled a toll number you'll be prompted to enter your four digit PIN before the call will start.


    The four-digit PIN will be your phone PIN, If you wish to change this PIN, just call us

Turn off call control

  1. Lift the handset and wait for the dial tone 
  2. Dial *47, followed by your four-digit PIN, followed by #
  3. Wait for the confirmation tone (long-short-long) and then hang up
